Job Responsibilities for Industrial Electricians (Motor Control & Control Systems):

Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair industrial electrical systems, including motor controls, control panels, circuits, and electrical equipment.

Motor Control & Control Systems: Work with motor control centers (MCCs), variable frequency drives (VFDs), and PLC-based control systems to ensure the proper operation of equipment and machinery.

Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical and control system issues, using advanced tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems quickly and effectively.

Compliance with Codes and Standards: Ensure all electrical work adheres to local, state, and federal electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan and execute electrical installations and upgrades, including control systems and motor installations.

System Upgrades and Modifications: Upgrade and modify existing electrical systems, control systems, and motor control circuits to improve performance, efficiency, or meet new operational requirements.

Safety Protocols: Follow strict safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and hazard identification, to ensure the safety of the work environment at all times.

Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and other contractors to complete projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on industrial electrical systems and control systems to reduce downtime and enhance operational efficiency.

Emergency Response: Provide on-call support for emergency electrical repairs, ensuring a fast response and resolution of critical issues, including motor and control system failures.
